Since the pre-production I was most interested in the environment design, working on the environment style alongside Signe Cold while Louis worked on the storyboards and the other teammates took over the design of the characters, animals and props.
Here's the research that I've done:

Although I didn't model or texture props other than the trees, I dressed several sets and did matte painting for all shots; with my main shot for both set dressing and comping being this one:

I also did the post-comp of the following shots:

(set dressing of the first of these shots was done by Signe Cold, animation by Kristina; set dressing of the second of these shots by me, animation by Kristina and Maria)

Maria and Federico designed and chose the color scheme of all the characters (which I colored to have an idea of how they would look like in 3D)

(the background of the second image was done by Signe Cold)

Before we went into modelling of the characters, I roughly sculpted the main character so that we could see the transition from 2D to 3D:

The lead character was then modelled by Ebbe and textured and rigged by Signe Tveitan, the drummer character was modelled by Signe Tveitan, textured by Ebbe and rigged by me, the basist, only female member of the band, was modelled and textured by me and rigged by Ebbe, the monkey was completely done by Signe Cold and the parrot and the lizard by Henrik.

By the end of the project Maria and Federico designed a poster, while I painted it:

Concept Development

On week 16 we had a concept development course with Peter Chan. The assignment was to go out of our comfort zones as far as possible -- and I had to draw something wonky, shape-based and humorous. Also decided to go for a lineless work since this is something I'm really bad with.

Biped Project - Design

Finally we started a biped project! This is my character, Erke, of which I'm going to create a 3d model.

Color

After two days of doing color studies with traditional paints during our color week with Lawrence Marvit, we moved to creating a digital artwork for a subject "temple". I'm rather happy with how it came out!

Still Life

We started our Lighting Materials classes with 3 days of still life painting

Design 2

The first week after the Christmas break was the harshest week I've experienced so far. But I'm rather happy with the results! The week was all about values & rendering, and the themes were: 'demolished elven kingdom', 'pirates attacking Venice' and 'mobsters'

Project 4450

The weeks 44-50 were spent on the Project 4450, which objective was to design a character that would fit within Ernest and Celestine movie, and model them within an environment.

On the first week we were working with concept design with Benjamin Renner, a co-director of Ernest and Celestine.
I called my character Dora, she's an artist and a friend to Celestine.

During the next three weeks our teacher was Kristifir Klein, and we spent them on modelling.

The last two weeks with Rune Rask we spent on texturing, lighting and compositing in After Effects. To achieve a style similar to the styleguide, I tried to switch from the realistic lighting to a more toony one.
Here's the final Showreel with model turnaround, final keyshot and the breakdown:

Design 1

Last two weeks were pretty harsh.
We spent the first week doing abstract assignments (the first one was to describe taste of a chocolate with lines; second was to make a cover for a jazz album using shapes; the third one was to create a composition for Frankenstein book)

This week was about perspective & rendering (the first assignment was to create Atlantis weapon and put it in perspective; subject of the second assignment was 'ancient ruins with a mechanical culture', third was 'an antique shop or a black market shop' - and I chose to mix them togetehr;  subject of the last one was 'a haunted house')

One of assingments we've got in the 3rd week of studies was to create an establishing shot in After Effects. Here's mine:

Intro Project

The first two week in my first year at The animation workshop were spent on an Intro Project in groups! I'm very proud of the results of my group!

I designed and drew some of the objects (i.e. the fridge and the diamond), as well as the background used in the pan shot:
